Tangerine Twist delivers 58 apartments across three residential buildings in Griffith, with the design responding to the region’s distinctive red earth landscape. The development is organised to create smaller residential clusters within the broader site, encouraging a sense of community while maintaining privacy for residents.
The architecture draws inspiration from the Eucalyptus Rubida, a tree native to the area whose bark sheds to reveal a smooth inner surface. This influence informs the building’s articulated edges and tangerine coloured façade. Deep wrap around eaves provide shade during the hotter months while allowing larger window openings that bring natural light into the apartments. Rooftop communal spaces sit above each building, offering shared outdoor areas for residents.
