Place Studio

Hotel Totto involved the adaptive reuse of a former student accommodation building to deliver a 150 room hotel in the centre of Wollongong. The project repositioned the existing site as a contemporary hospitality destination while retaining the efficiency of the building’s original structure.

The interior strategy introduces a sequence of social and hospitality spaces including the lobby, a 135 seat restaurant and bar, private dining areas and conference facilities. Guest rooms are designed as compact, carefully detailed environments, while the ground floor restaurant provides a strong public interface that activates the street and anchors the hotel’s identity.
